And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 And at night. How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
