We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
