Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
