We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
