We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
