Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
