We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
