We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
