We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 and at night.
