We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
