And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
