We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
