THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
