And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
