And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
