We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 and at night.
