And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
