Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
