THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
