THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
