THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
