And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
