And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
