Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
