We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
