THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
