We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
