We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
