Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 Had he not been one of those who acknowledge the glory of God, 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 And they believed, whrefore We let them enjoy life for a season. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Will you not then mind? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinns, but the jinns know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be brought for accounts). 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 So you and your deities 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 except him who shall roast in Hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 And surely they used to say: 167 'If only we had had a Reminder from the ancients, 168 Surely we would have been the bondmen of God sincere. 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
