Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Did We create the angels females, to which they were witnesses? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 And they have made between Him and the jinn a kinship whereas the jinn assuredly know that they are to be brought up 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 Can mislead anyone away from Him, 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 and we glorify God". 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. 169 Yet they disbelieve therein. Presently they shall come to know. 170 Our Word had already preceded Our worshipers, the Messengers, 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Glory be to your Lord: the Lord of Glory is far above what they attribute to Him. 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
