Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 So the fish swallowed him while he did that for which he blamed himself 142 Had he not been one of those who acknowledge the glory of God, 143 He would have stayed in its belly till the day the dead are raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 Bring your book if what you say is true. 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 Save him who is to burn in hell. 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 What though they would say, 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 Surely we would have been the bondmen of God sincere. 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
