Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 Then he joined the lots, and was of the condemned. 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 He would have stayed in its belly till the day the dead are raised. 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 and caused a gourd tree to grow over him, 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you, how is it that you judge? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 They have set up a kinship between Him and the jinn; and the jinn know that they shall be arraigned. 158 Glory be to God above that they describe, 159 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 160 for, verily, neither you [blasphemers] nor the objects of your worship 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 If we had the account of earlier people with us, 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 That they verily would be helped, 172 and Our armies shall be the victors. 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 and watch them. They, too, will watch. 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 Then when it descendeth unto them face to face, a hapless morn that shall be for those who were warned. 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 And peace be unto the sent ones. 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
