Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 Now ask thou them: are there for thy Lord daughters and for them sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 Or, do you have a clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 And they have made between Him and the jinn a kinship whereas the jinn assuredly know that they are to be brought up 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 We glorify God." 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 "We would have indeed been the chosen slaves of Allah (true believers of Islamic Monotheism)!" 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 And turn away from them for some time. 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Glory be to your Lord: the Lord of Glory is far above what they attribute to Him. 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
