Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 He abandoned his people 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 And We made a gourd tree grow over him. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 can cause anyone to fall prey to your temptation 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 And surely they used to say: 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 Surely we would have been the bondmen of God sincere. 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 Our Word had already preceded Our worshipers, the Messengers, 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 And surely, only Our army will be victorious. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 Then when it descendeth unto them face to face, a hapless morn that shall be for those who were warned. 177 So turn away from them for a while. 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
