Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 Then he joined the lots, and was of the condemned. 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 155 Or, do you have a clear authority? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. 160 But as for you, and that you serve, 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 we are they that give glory. 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 "We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!" 169 but they have rejected it, [the Quran] and they shall soon learn! 170 Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- 171 will certainly be victorious 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 So turn (away) from them for a while. 174 See them and soon they shall see. 175 Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 And all praise to God, the Lord of all the worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
