Hizb 46
< random >
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 Now ask thou them: are there for thy Lord daughters and for them sons? 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 Then is it of their lying that they say: 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you, how is it that you judge? 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 for, verily, neither you [blasphemers] nor the objects of your worship 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 And the angels say, “Each one of us has an appointed known position.” 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 That they verily would be helped, 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 And all praise unto Allah the Lord of the worlds. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
