Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 He would have stayed in its belly till the day the dead are raised. 144 ۞ We cast him out of the fish unto dry land and he was sick. 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 Now surely it is of their own lie that they say: 151 Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie. 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 And they have made between Him and the jinn a kinship whereas the jinn assuredly know that they are to be brought up 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 except him who shall roast in Hell. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 "And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service); 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 They say, 167 If we had but a reminder from the men of old 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 for, long ago has Our word gone forth unto Our servants, the message-bearers, 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 and see them [for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 175 Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
