Hizb 46

Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. 140 Then he joined the lots, and was of the condemned. 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 (And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 Will you not then mind? 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah, 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 "There is not one of us who does not have his appointed place," (declare the angels.) 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 we are they that give glory. 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 Our Word had already preceded Our worshipers, the Messengers, 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)! 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Exaltations be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above that they describe! 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
