Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 And they believed, whrefore We let them enjoy life for a season. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 can cause anyone to fall prey to your temptation 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 They used to say: 167 If we had but a reminder from the men of old 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 but they have rejected it, [the Quran] and they shall soon learn! 170 And assuredly Our word hath already gone forth Our bondmen, the sent ones: 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
