Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 Then he joined the lots, and was of the condemned. 141 So the fish swallowed him while he did that for which he blamed himself 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 And We sent him towards a hundred thousand people, in fact more. 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Then is it of their lying that they say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 (And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 neither you nor what you worship 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 And we are they who exalt (Allah)' 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 That they verily would be helped, 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)! 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Exaltations be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above that they describe! 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
