Hizb 46

Verily Jonah is one of the apostles. 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 and caused a gourd tree to grow over him, 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 (Muhammad), ask them, "Do daughters belong to your Lord and sons to them? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 Did He choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him). 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 “If we had some advice from the earlier generations,” 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 That they would be helped, 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
