Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 Or have ye a clear warrant? 156 Produce, then, that divine writ of yours, if you are speaking the truth! 157 They have said that there is a relationship between Him and the jinn. The jinn certainly know that they will all be brought to suffer torment. 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 160 You and whatever you worship 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 we are they that give glory. 166 They used to say before: 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 And watch (how they fare) and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 179 Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
