Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Did We create the angels females, to which they were witnesses? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Will ye not then be admonished? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 we are the rangers, 165 we are they that give glory. 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 Our Word had already preceded Our worshipers, the Messengers, 171 That they verily would be helped, 172 and Our armies shall be the victors. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
