Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 (And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 But as for you, and that you serve, 161 Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him. 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 And we are most surely they who declare the glory (of Allah). 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 Surely we would have been the bondmen of God sincere. 169 And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: 170 Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 Peace be upon the Messengers 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
