Hizb 46
< random >
So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 The fish swallowed him up and he deserved (all this). 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 And they believed, whrefore We let them enjoy life for a season. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Did We create the angels females, to which they were witnesses? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 "Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 154 Will ye not then be admonished? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 They have said that there is a relationship between Him and the jinn. The jinn certainly know that they will all be brought to suffer torment. 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; 167 "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 And assuredly Our word hath already gone forth Our bondmen, the sent ones: 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 So turn away from them for a time 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
