Hizb 46
< random >
And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 He would certainly have tarried in its belly to the day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 (Muhammad), ask them, "Do daughters belong to your Lord and sons to them? 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 Will you not then mind? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 And they assert a relationship between Him and the jinn; and certainly the jinn do know that they shall surely be brought up; 158 Glory be to God above that they describe, 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 You and whatever you worship 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 "And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service); 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 And peace be unto the sent ones. 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
