Hizb 46

Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 He abandoned his people 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 Bring your book if what you say is true. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 except him who shall roast in Hell. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 and we glorify God". 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 Yet now (that it has come) they refuse to believe in it; but they will come to know soon. 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 That they would be helped, 172 and Our armies shall be the victors. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 and watch them. They, too, will watch. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 Then when it descendeth unto them face to face, a hapless morn that shall be for those who were warned. 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 LIMITLESS in His glory is thy Sustainer, the Lord of almightiness, [exalted] above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 180 And peace be unto the sent ones. 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
