Hizb 46

Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ We cast him out of the fish unto dry land and he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 And they believed, whrefore We let them enjoy life for a season. 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? 150 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Will ye not then reflect? 155 Or have ye a clear warrant? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 You and whatever you worship 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 And there were those who said, 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. 169 but they have rejected it, [the Quran] and they shall soon learn! 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
