Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 So the fish swallowed him while he did that for which he blamed himself 142 And were he not one of those who praise. 143 He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad): Hath thy Lord daughters whereas they have sons? 149 Did We create the angels as females the while they witnessed?” 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 Will you not then remember? 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 Except His chosen creatures who do not. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 Save him who is to burn in hell. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 They used to say: 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know! 170 Our Word had already preceded Our worshipers, the Messengers, 171 That undoubtedly, only they will be helped. 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 and watch them. They, too, will watch. 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 Peace be upon the Messengers 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
