Hizb 46

Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 Recall what time he ran away unto a laden ship. 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 And a fish swallowed him, and he was reproaching himself. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Glory be to God above that they describe, 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 we are the rangers, 165 And we are most surely they who declare the glory (of Allah). 166 What though they would say, 167 If we had but a reminder from the men of old 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 Yet they disbelieve therein. Presently they shall come to know. 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 So turn away from them for a while. 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
